About Us
Carrying Forward a Vision of Hope
The Matele Foundation is a youth-development organisation working in Sachangwan, Molo Sub-County, and beyond. We exist to ensure every young person has a real chance to discover their purpose, develop their talents, and lead meaningful change in their communities.
Built around five transformative "Movements" — Dream, Foundation, Journey, Impact, and Invitation — and guided by our 2026–2031 Strategic Framework, we work to create lasting change through programmes that address the real needs of young people in Sachangwan and beyond.

The Purpose Project
Our flagship journey begins with one question — “Who are you becoming?” — and walks alongside young people through four stages: Discover, Develop, Lead and Impact.
1
Discover
“Who am I?”
2
Develop
“What can I become?”
3
Lead
“How can I serve others?”
4
Impact
“How can I leave my community better than I found it?”
Our approach
When young people have purpose, opportunity, guidance and hope, communities flourish.
Purpose
Discovering identity, strengths and direction.
Guidance
Mentorship, trusted relationships, life skills and role models.
Opportunity
Pathways to education, leadership, employment, enterprise and civic life.
Hope
Resilience, confidence and the belief that tomorrow can be better.
